How we ranked
Each hero gets a score out of 100: attack, health, defense and crit chance are each divided by the best value among the five heroes and added together with equal weight. Tier A is 90+, B is 80–89, C is below 80.
- Locked heroes are shown with a preview weapon, Finn with the Stick, so weapons slightly affect the numbers.
- The “power” stat (gold sword icon) and luck are left out because the game does not explain them.
- Abilities matter a lot in real fights and are not counted here. We will re-rank once we have played each hero.

Buddy picks by role
Only BMO is unlocked on our account, so these picks come from each buddy’s in-game ability text, not from testing.
Damage boost
BMO, Peppermint Butler
Both make enemies take more damage (BMO tags one target, Peppermint Butler curses everything nearby).
Crowd control
Tree Trunks, Billybee, Gunter
Charm all nearby enemies, root them in honey, or slow them with a snowball. Useful against the Worm and Bee packs on Mount Cragdor.
Sustain
Nibbler
Soul Drain steals health from a nearby enemy.
Anti-special
Key-Per
Locks an enemy’s special abilities for a short time, but the text says it does not work on bosses.

FAQ
Who is the best character in Adventure Time RPG?
On paper, Marceline: the highest combined attack, health, defense and crit at level 1. This is a stat ranking, not a hands-on one yet, because only Finn is unlocked on our test account.
Is Finn good?
Finn is solid: the most health of any hero (300) and a reliable crowd hit (Sword Slam). His attack is well below Jake, Marceline and Banana Guard, so fights take longer.
What is the best buddy?
BMO is free and boosts damage on tagged enemies. For groups of enemies, Tree Trunks (charm) and Peppermint Butler (curse) look strongest by their ability text, but we have not tested them yet.
